Youth Director (Part-time W-2 position – 15 hrs/week)
Lutheran Church on the Mountain – Lakewood, CO

Lutheran Church on the Mountain (LCM) seeks an innovative Youth Director to build, grow, and lead a vibrant youth ministry with a focus on development of programs for members ages 3–18. The Youth Director nurtures faith, connection, and community engagement within our Reconciling in Christ congregation.

Key Contributions

• Engage youth in worship, education, and leadership within the life of LCM.
• Collaborate with the pastor and volunteers to plan, lead, and grow ministries for ages 3–18.
• Lead weekly Sunday School (ages 3–12).
• Coordinate ongoing youth programs (grades 6–12).
• Create service-learning and outreach opportunities for children, youth, and families.
• Communicate youth ministry updates and opportunities to the congregation.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers in compliance with LCM and ELCA child protection policies.
• Participate in youth service trips and ELCA gatherings as the program grows.

Requirements

• Deep Christian faith and commitment to the ELCA tradition.
• Collaborative team player who listens well, discerns prayerfully, and leads with integrity.
• Experience leading programs for children and youth.
• Ability to lead a children’s and youth ministry with energy, creativity, and compassion.
• Effective relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, and mentor volunteers.
• Organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable using social media.

Compensation

$25–$30 per hour, depending on experience.
