Location: South Sub Church – Littleton, Colorado
Duration: 9–18 months
Reports To: Lead Pastor / Residency Director
Type: Residency (not a full-time or part-time staff position)

This residency emphasizes the development of preaching and communication skills, offering regular stage opportunities, preaching labs, and mentored ministry experience in a local church context. If you’re eager to grow in your calling and gain real-world experience in a supportive environment, this may be the next step in your ministry journey.
Key Objectives:
- To develop preaching gifts through teaching, practice, and feedback.
- To equip future pastors with real, mentored ministry experience.
- To provide meaningful stage opportunities (preaching, hosting, communicating) in various settings.
- To help residents clarify and strengthen their vocational call to ministry.
What You’ll Do:
Preaching & Communication:
- Regular opportunities to preach in Sunday services, student gatherings, or other church venues.
- Participate in Preaching Labs—collaborative spaces for sermon planning, practice, and peer/mentor feedback.
- Host or emcee services to develop communication and stage presence.
- Contribute to sermon planning, content development, and creative collaboration.
Pastoral Formation:
- Receive regular mentorship from experienced pastors and ministry leaders.
- Join staff meetings, leadership development gatherings, and behind-the-scenes planning sessions.
- Shadow and participate in pastoral roles such as hospital visits, prayer, or care opportunities.
Ministry Engagement:
- Gain experience in a variety of ministry areas (e.g., groups, kids, students, outreach).
- Assist with ministry events, volunteer development, and church-wide initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
- Senses a calling to vocational pastoral ministry, particularly in preaching or teaching.
- Eager to grow in both skill and character.
- Teachable, collaborative, and open to feedback.
- Has a basic theological foundation and is either enrolled in or open to seminary/theological training.
- Comfortable in front of people or wanting to grow in public communication.
