Technical Director

Reports To: Worship Pastor

Summary: The Technical Director provides technical oversight and support to ministries and staff for all events and services at Front Range Church as we carry out the mission to help people build community, discover purpose, and grow their faith in Jesus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and grow the production ministry at Front Range Church. Oversee weekly production tasks and ensure all elements of church gatherings run smoothly. Plan and implement departmental goals to support overall ministry growth.
• Ensure all technical elements of worship services are prepared and organized, including software updates, presentations, and programming for audio, video, and lighting. Collaborate with staff to ensure readiness for rehearsals, weekend services, and broadcasts to online audiences.
• Manage all audio and visual equipment while maintaining updates to equipment, software and subscriptions needed, along with forecasting of new and innovative equipment additions.
• Lead the recruitment process for production, responding to inquiries, and executing onboarding procedures. This includes growing the team by making connections with potential volunteers and mobilizing existing team members to join in recruiting others. 
• Manage or assist in other forms of content management needed for the church to succeed. This includes, but not limited to tracks (Playback), Propresenter, Planning Center, Youtube, Resi Online, and any other needed programming.
• Provide personalized care for team members and participate in team nights, leader events, and other relevant events to build culture and cast vision. Train team members to improve their technical abilities as well as lead team members to be involved in the vision and mission of the church.
• Collaborate with the Worship Pastor and other staff to set up the church for success. Understand that “ongoing change” is part of Front Range Church and be willing to move and grow with that vision.
• Support production for church wide events and step into non-technical roles when needed to serve the broader church.

• Commitment to the mission and vision of Front Range Christian Church.
• Self-motivated with a strong creative drive and pays attention to details.
• Able to multi-task and deal with pressures of multiple strict deadlines and last-minute direction changes.
• Maintains confidentiality
• Flexible schedule with weekend and evening hours to be expected.

Skill, Ability & Knowledge Requirements

• Fluent in PCO, Propresenter, Lighting softwares and programming, streaming platforms, and digital audio. 
• Proficient understanding of digital mixing consoles, sound systems, and AV setups Familiar with DAWs, Logic and Waves.
• Organized, creative thinker and highly productive, working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with adapting to new technologies and software.
• Committed to improvement, seeks constructive criticism, and understands strengths and weaknesses.
• 3 years minimum ministry experience in production or related ministry
