We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Youth Leader Intern to join our team and engage our youth in meaningful spiritual growth.

Position Overview

The Youth Leader Intern will play a key role in supporting the youth ministry at Redemption Hills Church. This individual will have a heart for worship and teaching, inspiring young people (ages 12–18) to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. The intern will assist in planning and leading youth programs, fostering a welcoming environment, and encouraging spiritual development through dynamic worship and biblical teaching.

Key Responsibilities

• Youth Ministry Support: Assist in planning, organizing, and leading weekly youth group meetings, Bible studies, and special events (e.g., retreats, service projects, or worship nights).
• Worship Leadership: Lead or co-lead worship sessions for youth, incorporating music, prayer, or other creative expressions to engage students in meaningful worship experiences.
• Teaching and Discipleship: Prepare and deliver age-appropriate lessons or devotionals rooted in Scripture to encourage spiritual growth and discussion among youth.
• Relationship Building: Build authentic relationships with youth, serving as a mentor and positive role model to guide them in their faith journey.
• Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of youth events, including logistics, communication with parents, and collaboration with volunteers.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Youth Pastor and ministry team to align programs with the church’s mission and vision.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with communication, scheduling, and maintaining records related to youth ministry activities.

Qualifications

• Faith and Character: A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a passion for sharing the Gospel and living out biblical values.
• Passion for Youth: Enthusiasm for working with middle and high school students, with an understanding of their unique needs and challenges.
• Worship and Teaching Skills: Experience or strong interest in leading worship (musical ability is a plus) and teaching biblical principles in an engaging, relatable way.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to connect with youth, parents, and church staff.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with ministry leaders, volunteers, and other church staff.
• Organization and Initiative: Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude in planning and executing ministry activities.
• Education/Experience: High school diploma required; current college student or recent graduate preferred. Prior experience in youth ministry, worship leadership, or teaching is a plus but not required.

Requirements

• Must pass a background check.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for youth events and services.
• Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Redemption Hills Church.
