About the Job
The Logistics Coordinator position is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director of Special Events. The Logistics Coordinator oversees campus event setups, manages work-study student staff, and coordinates the upkeep and distribution of event resources.
We believe teamwork is necessary for organizational success and so our team promotes innovation, creativity and problem solving. As such, candidates must understand, believe and actively contribute to accomplishing the mission and vision of the Event Services department.
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for building strong relationships with event planners at CCU, coordinating setup details, and overseeing event spaces and resources. The role requires high attention to detail, planning, and organization of Academic Term campus facilities and resources.

We’re looking for candidates who have:

  4. Working knowledge of event floorplan design software (preferred).
  5. Capable to respond in a timely manner to questions and inquiries via email, telephone or the work order system.

  7. Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, as events are scheduled.

Mission Contribution

In this role, the Logistics Coordinator contributes to the mission of Christ-centered education transforming the world with grace and truth. This role contributes to our missions by overseeing all campus events and coordinating the distribution of event resources.

Key Job Duties
Event Staff Supervision 
  1. Hire student employees for the Event Assistant (EA) team; lead team trainings to educate and to build rapport among team members.
  2. Manage Event Assistant (EA) Work Study student employees, who will create seamless turnover and equipment set up of campus spaces from one event to the next.
    1. Coordinate with EA Student Captains to facilitate EA student staff setups.
  3. Manage event setup details via 25Live reservation software – providing big picture timeline and logistics for EA managers as they organize schedules and setup details.
    1. Track requests and set-up needs for future events via 25Live and a service ticket system.
  4. Approve timecards; keep an open line of communication with the managers and team members.
  5. Exemplify and maintain the culture and structure of the EA team while seeking new ways to improve communication and work rhythms.
    1. Culture: humility, selfless service, inclusive work environment, and pursuit of excellence in setups and timelines.
  6. Implement proactive and reactive problem-solving skills in own work and development in the EA Team Members.
  7. Create service desk tickets and communicate with clients about further information regarding resources, best practices, and CCU policies through Service Desk tickets.
  8. Coordinate with AV and catering to schedule event equipment is setup on time.
  9. Design and create floor plan models for event spaces.
    1. Work with multiple departments and external clients to create diagrams and meet their event needs.
Campus Set-Up Equipment Management
  1. Manage event resources in major event spaces (repair equipment, contact third-party professionals, update resources as necessary, etc.)
  2. Upkeep and maintain the University’s event equipment.
  3. Learn and implement new strategies for events as requested using industry standards.
  4. Catalog and maintain EA inventory in 25Live in coordination with the Event Service Specialist.
  5. Conduct safety & basic training for EA equipment for student leaders and staff.
Event Services Team
  1. Participate in and actively contribute towards Event Services major campus events, professional development and training opportunities throughout the year including staff meetings, one-on-ones.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. You may be required to work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends. Colorado Christian University expects all faculty and staff to become a part of the University community by participating in activities and events that occur on the campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.What we offer our employees:

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to all employees. Our benefit package for part-time employees includes a matching 403(b) retirement plan. Pay and benefits will be discussed in more detail as candidates progress through the interview process.

The pay range for this job is $19.00 – $20.00 per hour. Pay is assigned by reviewing a combination of job-related factors that may include: internal/external pay equity, the salary structure/pay grade, or a candidate’s qualifications/experience for the job. A wage range posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage and CCU reserves the right to make pay decisions based on economic and equity
considerations. CCU does not determine pay based on sex or any other protected status.

Spiritual Requirements

  1. Committed follower of Jesus Christ, who believes there is no salvation apart from faith in his atonement on the cross, by grace alone becoming “born again” thus beginning a personal relationship with Christ, the Son of God.
  2. Able to effectively communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles and convictions in the workplace. Must have a strong sense of calling to the ministry of Colorado Christian University.
  3. Regularly attend and be engaged in meaningful involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church. Knowledgeable about the Word of God and passionate about Christian education.
  4. Must be a traditional evangelical Christian whose lifestyle is in consonance with sound Christian principles, is compatible with CCU’s Statement of Faith, and is in agreement with the Strategic Priorities promulgated by the University.
