Student Ministry Pastor
Job Description
Student Ministry Pastor leads the youth program under the mentorship of the Family Pastor while participating in Sunday morning responsibilities that will include either leading the hospitality team or tech team, depending on the candidate’s skill set.

We are currently a set-up and tear-down church that meets in a local elementary school (DCS Montessori) as we raise capital to build on our recently acquired dream property in the heart of our city. Qualifications
Person who knows Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and actively pursues Him through spiritual disciples such as Bible reading and prayer
Passion for teenagers and experience volunteering with them
Ability to lead and recruit teams of volunteers
Physically able to assist in set-up and tear-down, which includes pushing carts and hanging pipe and drape
Minimum age of 21 and preferably male
Time Commitment & Duration
20 hours per week, which includes the following reoccurring events:
Sunday mornings: 6 AM – Noon
Weekly youth event and mentor meet up with Family Pastor
Weekly staff meeting
Roles & Responsibilities
1) STUDENT MINISTRY LEADERSHIP
Under the mentorship of the Family Pastor, help lead a weekly youth program that teaches the gospel, disciples students and attracts guests
Assist in recruiting adult volunteers and training them to disciple our teens
Plan an engaging calendar of fun events and weekly discipleship opportunities
2) SUNDAY TEAM LEAD
The student ministry pastor will be assigned a role either leading the hospitality team or the in-service tech team, depending on their skill set
If they lead the tech team, they will work with the Worship Pastor to create quality sound and video during our main worship service where they will work with A/V volunteers to set up sound, lights and video elements. During main services, tend the sound board and ensure quality sound throughout the whole service
If they lead the hospitality team, they will work with the executive pastor to create a welcoming experiences for guests and regulars by scheduling, training and leading our hospitality team. During the main services, they will assist volunteers in the lobby and sanctuary with a goal of retaining guests.
3) SUNDAY SET UP AND TEAR DOWN
Arrive at 6 AM to help the sanctuary set up team
After service, remain and help with tear down
4) STAFF MEETING
Staff meetings typically happen on Monday mornings at 9 AM
