Description:

The Women’s Pastoral Care Pastor provides Christ-centered care, counseling, and spiritual guidance to women within the congregation and surrounding community. This role involves pastoral care and visitation, one-on-one counseling/discipleship and leadership support in recovery ministry offering support through prayer, presence, and biblical truth. She partners closely with the Women’s Ministry and pastoral staff to foster a nurturing environment where women are seen, supported, and encouraged in their faith journey.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, ministry, counseling, or a related field required; seminary or theological training preferred.
  • Willingness to pursue ordination in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC); chaplaincy certification or training a plus.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor or pursuit of license
  • 3+ years of pastoral ministry experience, including teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care.
  • Experience providing pastoral counseling, spiritual guidance, or chaplaincy care in a church, hospital, or ministry setting.
  • Proven leadership within a recovery or care-focused ministry strongly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and relate well across a wide range of personalities and spiritual backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated emotional and spiritual maturity; able to remain calm and compassionate in high-emotion or crisis situations.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in sensitive pastoral or personal matters.
  • Comfortable speaking and praying publicly in a variety of settings.
  • Collaborative team player with a servant-hearted approach and a willingness to step in where needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); able to utilize standard tools for documentation, communication, and task coordination.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with common office technologies, including email, printers/copiers, shared drives, and organizational software platforms; able to troubleshoot basic issues and learn new tools quickly.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and working under pressure.
  • Available for evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
  • Must pass a CHCC background check.
