Tri County is a vibrant multisite church that embraces the motto, “One Church. Right Where You Are.” While TCC acknowledges that it is not a perfect church, it is a genuine gathering of individuals eager to embark on a shared journey. The church warmly invites everyone, regardless of their background, to feel that they have truly come home.

As attendance continues to grow, TCC’s multisite structure enables expansion without the need for a single large facility. By establishing campuses in DuBois and throughout small towns around rural areas in Pennsylvania, TCC preserves the intimacy of smaller congregations while delivering the quality of a thriving and engaging ministry context. TCC is a welcoming community that gathers across six different physical campuses of varying sizes, along with an online presence. TCC takes pride in being a community of ordinary, imperfect people who follow Jesus and invite others to join them on their path. TCC’s ministry context is fast-paced and fun, and they actively seek self-starters who are passionate about serving the Kingdom of God within a spirit of teamwork and community.

TCC is deeply community-oriented as well, showcasing this commitment by launching strategic ministry partnerships through a non-profit called Square One. Square One is dedicated to helping individuals transition from merely surviving to truly thriving, emphasizing the motto, “One person. One step. One Community. Square One!” This initiative is focused on meeting local needs through programs like the Gift of Sleep and House to Home initiatives.

Many people across all campuses are making the decision to follow Jesus, and people are being baptized. We know He has only just started! It is an exciting season at TCC and we truly desire to see the hope of Jesus shared and lives transformed. We plan to continue to grow and expand and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for our community next!

The Community

Nestled in Western Pennsylvania, just northeast of Pittsburgh and southeast of Erie, this charming city is surrounded by lush forests, flowing streams, and abundant wildlife, making it a true paradise for nature enthusiasts and hunters alike. For wildlife lovers, the majestic elk herds in Elk County are located only 18 miles to the north. As autumn approaches, the landscape transforms into a breathtaking display of vibrant colors, illuminating the hillsides with the beauty of the season.

DuBois stands out as a vibrant center for baseball and softball. The city proudly hosts numerous tournaments at the acclaimed Showers, Heindl, and Stern fields, including events like the Small College World Series, the Eastern Regional Little League Tournament, the PIAA State games, and PBR, among others. DuBois’s ballfields are recognized as the finest in the tri-state area.

The city also boasts a rich cultural scene. The Reitz Theater hosts a local theater group that presents engaging plays throughout the year. Artists can hone their skills at the Winkler Gallery, and during summer Thursdays, Musicfest brings lively performances to the stage in DuBois Memorial Park.

DuBois is home to a local campus of Penn State University and features a state-of-the-art medical facility at Penn Highlands Healthcare. Additionally, the DuBois Regional Airport is conveniently located just eight miles from the city center. Surrounded by major highways including US 219, Interstate 80, and Route 322, DuBois serves as an excellent hub for commercial activities.​

The Candidate

Tri County Church is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Pastor to join our team. This key leadership role will lead from the “second chair” and serves as a trusted partner to the Lead Pastor, a strategic implementer, a proactive coach to the staff, and will oversee the overall execution of the church’s vision.

The following describes a few of the responsibilities of the ideal candidate for the Executive Pastor:

Strategic Implementation

• Translate vision into actionable steps.
• Oversee project management.
• Drive execution across all campuses and ministries.
• Expand and accelerate the vision to launch more churches in small PA towns.

Partnership with Lead Pastor

• Serve as a trusted advisor and confidant.
• Understand and support the pastor’s vision.
• Facilitate effective communication.

Team Leadership & Coaching

• Provide 1:1 coaching and support to Campus Pastors & Ministry Leaders.
• Foster a collaborative and encouraging environment.
• Be present and supportive of all TCC campuses and ministries.

Operational Excellence

• Identify needs and implement effective solutions.
• Understand and lead in a multisite context.
• Manage central day-to-day operations.
• Initiate effective systems and processes as needed for scalable growth and expansion.
• Foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.

Qualifications

Here are some key qualifications that are highly valued for our Executive Pastor:

• Significant church and ministry experience.
• Deep understanding of church and multisite environments.
• Proven ability to implement strategic initiatives.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for innovation.
• (Optional) Ability to preach a series (4-5 weeks) is a plus.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in ministry, business, or a related field is generally preferred but not mandatory.​

Ministry Experience

• Prior experience in multisite church leadership, an executive pastor role, or a related area is highly sought after.
• Proven ability to manage staff and lead large teams effectively.
• Experience in overseeing multisite church operations is a bonus.

Personal Character

• A strong commitment to personal integrity and a lifestyle that aligns with biblical principles.
• A servant-hearted approach to ministry and a genuine passion for people.

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience.
