Teen Mentor Coordinator
Organization Mission:
Clear Creek Rock House is a faith based, non-profit organization which has been supporting Clear Creek County’s underprivileged youth in grades 6 through 12 for over 20 years. The teens we serve typically come from low income, non-traditional families. We provide no-cost tutoring and weekly one-on-one mentoring, incorporating life skills, fun activities, and community service opportunities, during the school year, and a weekly ‘Wednesday Fun Night’ during the summer with food, games and speakers.
Job Summary:
The Mentor Coordinator’s major responsibilities include: managing a team of 20–30 adult volunteer mentors, recruiting as necessary; developing and executing the weekly mentoring program held every Tuesday from 3:30–8:30 PM during the school year; coordinating transportation for students as needed; communicating with parents/guardians and local schools; providing monthly mentor training; and in the summer months, helping plan, coordinate and execute the Wednesday Fun Nights. The Mentor Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director. This role requires an out-going, multi-tasking, flexible, computer savvy, detail-oriented, mature, organized problem solver who is comfortable with public speaking.
Supervision:
Supervised by the Executive Director
Preferred Experience:
Work experience with disadvantaged, low-income teens and their families; management of large groups; non-profit ministry experience. Those with teaching experience are encouraged to apply
