Youth Outreach Internship Description

Job Title: Youth Outreach Intern

Location: The Bridge Church at Bear Creek

Terms: Hourly, approximately 15 hours/week, $18–$20/hour depending on experience

About the Underground Teen Center

The Underground Teen Center exists to provide a safe and welcoming space where students from Bear Creek High School are invited to take the next step in making much of Jesus. We do this by cultivating a culture of hospitality and hosting regular lunch and after-school programs.

About the Role

This internship is designed to equip emerging leaders in the development and implementation of outreach-based youth ministry. Interns will work closely with the Youth Outreach Manager to support daily operations at the teen center. The goal is to actively contribute to our mission of making disciples who know, live, and advance the Gospel.

This role is available during the school year only and follows the academic calendar. Interns will work on school days only.

Responsibilities

– Facilitate or attend 2–3 lunch programs weekly:

• Mon, Tue, Fri: 10:45 AM – 12:45 PM
  • Wed: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
    • Thu: 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

– Facilitate or attend 2–3 after-school programs weekly:

• Mon, Tue, Fri: 2:20 PM – 4:30 PM
  • Wed: 1:45 PM – 4:30 PM
    • Thu: 3:20 PM – 4:30 PM

– Maintain a safe, welcoming environment by:

• Welcoming students and enforcing check-in/safety protocols
  • Cleaning and organizing spaces (wiping tables, mopping, restocking supplies)
    • Helping stock vending machines and supply stations

– Encourage students to take spiritual or relational “next steps” such as:

• Attending Sunday morning church
  • Joining the youth group, game nights, or special events

– Assist in the planning and execution of one-time events:

• Tournaments, holiday parties, pizza nights, etc.

– Meet weekly with the Youth Outreach Manager for mentorship and accountability

– Participate in the life of The Bridge Church, including attending weekly services

Qualifications

– Currently enrolled in or graduated from a theological, ministry, or youth-oriented academic program

– Demonstrates alignment with The Bridge Church’s Statement of Faith

– Relationally mature, teachable, and passionate about youth outreach

– Committed to fostering a Christ-centered and safe environment for students
