The role of the Worship Minister is to lead the church in a music ministry that will inspire and enhance congregational worship and fellowship, engage all age levels in a variety of music experiences and education, and therefore, aid in meaningful corporate and personal worship and spiritual growth.  

Responsibilities:

·        Plan, coordinate and evaluate a comprehensive music program inclusive of all age groups throughout the life of the church.

·        Work in consultation with the Lead Pastor to plan the weekend worship services and special services to ensure appropriate

congregational and special music that enhances and supports the worship message and experience.

·        Lead and direct the worship team in worship and special services, which includes rehearsals, recruiting new members and

providing spiritual nurture. 

·        Assist the Student and Kids ministry in ideas for worship, while helping to build continuity between the different ministries in this

area.

·        Oversee the technical side of services, which includes sound board, lighting, slides, cameras, and weekly online services.

·        Supervise the use and maintenance of equipment tied to the worship services. 

·        Give assistance in regard to weddings, funerals, memorial services and special recognitions that happen at South Rock.

·        Prepare and oversee the Worship Ministry Budget.

·        Work as a team player with the rest of the ministerial and support staff. This includes making every effort to attend all staff

functions (i.e. – staff meetings, board meetings, retreats, etc.)
