Responsibilities (Job Description) –

1. Lead worship for Sunday service and events
2. Attend and organize weekly worship practices
3. Partner with existing worship team for development and growth of worship ministry
4. Administrative development of worship team: overseeing scheduling and communication, CCLI reporting, updating chord charts as needed.
5. Develop a holistic Sunday worship experience in collaboration with staff and leadership team
6. Report to Supervisor regarding worship development and strategic plans for growth

Experience Requirements –

1. Worship leader must have a professed faith in Christ and agree to the Grace Covenant Church missional statement
2. Must be proficient in a musical instrument and have the ability to lead worship and collaborate with a band
3. No formal educational experience required but applicant must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities, musical abilities, and have a desire to lead people into the presence of God through worship.
4. Looking for someone who has a passion for worship, singing, and leading the congregation before the throne of God and can dream of new and creative ways to engage in worship.

This opportunity is for a paid position as a worship leader who will partner collectively with the worship team and congregation to lead us to glorify God and worship him. This is the first and most important priority.  Additionally, the position will be responsible for leading and developing the worship team, setting vision and direction of the worship ministry of the church, participating collectively in church directions and decisions, organizing and executing the weekly worship practices, choosing songs, hymns, scriptures, readings, prayers, and other modes for leading the congregation in worship, dreaming of new avenues to engage the congregation and community in worship, participating with the staff in decisions and meetings. While the position is parttime, the individual will be considered an equal on staff and will be given voice to discern what God might be calling us to next.

Our congregation consists of around 130 multigenerational individuals who are locally invested and passionate about worshiping God and spreading the Gospel. Our congregation is actively involved in serving our community and has a very connected family experience where everyone is supported, encouraged, and cared for.
