Worship Ministry
Assistant Worship Director
Purpose: This part-time position is a ministry of leadership, teaching, worship, and music that assists the Worship Director in equipping the congregation of Village Seven Presbyterian Church to worship God in a vibrant and heart-felt manner by developing a growing body of vocal and instrumental musicians who lead worship with devotion, skill, and joy as they offer their talents to the Lord.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sunday worship:

- Regularly co-lead Sunday morning worship services with the Worship Director.
- Rehearse the worship team when needed.
- Lead Sunday morning services and rehearse the worship team in the Worship Director’s absence.
- Help refine and develop Village Seven’s musical voice (e.g. collaborate on arrangements and production for songs and hymns that can be used in Sunday morning worship services).
- Help create supplemental materials such as chord charts, lead sheets, and demo recordings for Sunday Worship.
Special services:

- Help plan and participate in special events/services/programs (Christmas Eve, Christmas Concerts, Thanksgiving Eve, Easter, and other possible worship nights/events)
- Rehearse ensembles when needed.

General:
- Help the Worship Director build community and unified vision in the Music Ministry
- Equip and train “congregants to lead other congregants” in worship at Village Seven using their musical gifts
- Assist in shepherding instrumentalists who are involved in Village Seven worship
- Assist in strengthening and undergirding the “development of a singing congregation” with strength, textual understanding, and engaged participation
- Attend Staff Prayer meetings and Worship and Music Staff meetings on a weekly basis; attend additional staff meetings when needed.

Village Seven Presbyterian Church (V7PC) is a body of believers in Colorado Springs on mission to make and equip joyful disciples of Jesus Christ, who live out and proclaim the gospel in Colorado Springs, the West, and the World.
V7PC is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), founded in 1972, and is the largest church (over 1400 members) in the Rocky Mountain Presbytery (Colorado, Wyoming, Montana). In the last five decades, V7PC has planted four PCA churches in the Colorado Springs area in addition to helping start and support several city-wide ministries.
