Calvary Commerce City is seeking an associate pastoral resident to help our church continue in our mission to make Jesus non-ignorable in Commerce City, and to the ends of the earth. 

Calvary Commerce City is a four-year old church plant in the south part of Commerce City. Our church is located in an urban-industrial community, just northeast of Denver. We are a small but diverse community with a bivocational leadership model, and we are seeking a pastoral resident. Residency status has the goal of becoming a long-term pastor-elder in our congregation, or potentially exploring the possibility of church planting in the distant future.

– Sense a calling to pastoral ministry and desire to grow in exploring their ministry gifting and leadership.

– Affirm the distinctive beliefs of the Calvary Family of Churches.

Primary responsibilities include

• Attending bi-weekly leadership meetings
• Assistance in shepherding the congregation (knowing, leading, feeding, and protecting the people God has entrusted to our care)
• Preaching (once every 4-6 weeks)
• Discipleship – leading one small discipleship group that meets 2-4 times per month.
• Preferred worship-leading abilities are helpful for occasional leadership in this area.

This is a part-time stipend position – compensation: $500-1,000/month. 

Workload should not exceed 10 hours per week.
