Outreach Coordinator (Spanish/English speaking)
Alternatives Pregnancy Center’s Mission Statement:
Alternatives Pregnancy Center exists to care for Denver-area women and men in pregnancy-related crisis and offer them a meaningful alternative to abortion. Following the example of Christian love, we seek to meet their emotional, physical and spiritual needs. And we enable and encourage them to choose life every day.
We provide a 24-Hour Helpline, pregnancy tests and options counseling, limited ultrasound services, STD testing and treatment, adoption education, pre- and post-natal medical care referrals, financial and legal referrals, counseling after abortion, positive youth development curriculum and sexual risk avoidance education. All services are provided free of charge.
Job Summary:
The Outreach Coordinator will play a pivotal role in promoting Alternatives Pregnancy Center’s programs and services through strategic outreach efforts focused on local universities, colleges, and community agencies. This dynamic and passionate individual will build relationships, raise awareness, and foster educational opportunities surrounding unplanned pregnancy, sexual health, and abortion on campus and within the community. The ideal candidate will have experience in community relations, public speaking, and campus engagement, and will work collaboratively with the Alternatives team to implement outreach initiatives, develop partnerships, and ensure the organization’s presence in the Denver Metro Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campus Relations: Develop outreach strategies and build relationships with campus communities, including Title IX departments, counseling centers, health services, and student organizations. Represent the organization at events, resource fairs, and campus activities.
- Community Outreach: Attend local community meetings, connect with organizations, update and enhance the Community Resource Guide, and work with the team to build relationships with local partners.
- Marketing: Collaborate with the communications team to create and distribute marketing materials, manage social media and digital ads, and assist with webpage content and updates.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2-3 years of community-focused work, with experience in community relations, public speaking, and campus life.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of social issues related to unintended pregnancy, sexual health, and abortion.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or associate degree (experience may substitute), bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
