Manna Care Logistics & Warehouse Assistant
The Manna Care Logistics & Warehouse Assistant (On-Call, up to16 Hours/Week) plays a vital role in supporting the operational and administrative functions of the Manna Care program at Cherry Hills Community Church. This position focuses on warehouse management, including inventory handling, setup and teardown of storage and shopping areas, and ensures compliance with safety protocols. Additionally, the role involves coordinating volunteer efforts, providing training and support, and assisting with guest services. The assistant also handles essential administrative tasks, including documentation and record keeping. This on-call position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a heart for serving the community through hands-on logistical and support tasks.
⏤ Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
Inventory Management
- Organize and maintain cold, dry, and freezer storage areas.
- Unload, sort, and repalletize food deliveries, including produce and non-perishables.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain emergency food boxes.
- Oversee and prepare new guest bags with fresh produce and perishable items for first-time guests
Set-Up and Teardown
- Assist in ensuring set up is turnkey for Tuesday before leaving Monday EOD. Leave serving space free and clear on teardown.
- Release food to food partner at 9A Wednesday mornings
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during unloading, storage, and handling of inventory.
- Monitor the workspace for potential hazards and take corrective action as needed.
Volunteer Coordination
Support and Guidance
- Coordinate the setup and teardown of the market space for volunteer huddles and guest services.
- Provide guidance to volunteers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Assist the Facilities Team with furniture setup and logistical needs.
- Provide on-the-job training for new volunteers, including inventory handling and set-up procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for volunteer questions and help troubleshoot issues.
Administrative Duties
Provided Departmental Administrative Support
- Anticipate the administrative needs of Local Missions and Outreach Ministries and provide support as needed.
- Enter and keep metrics up to date
- Prepare and distribute documents, flyers, signs, print materials for departmental use and guest communication.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure that materials for the department are stocked and available.
- Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and service orientation in all departmental interactions.
- Maintain proper documentation for food inventory, stock levels, and partner resources.
- Assist in setting up tables and coordinating needs for partner organizations during events.
- Ensure the timely and accurate provision of data and reports to support the department’s ministries as needed
- Keep Community Church Builder (CCB) organized, accurate, and up to date with accurate volunteer and inventory needs.
- Assist the Local Missions ministry team in executing key service opportunities, including seasonal events, outreach initiatives, volunteer fairs, community resource events, and guest/volunteer appreciation activities.
- Support process workflows to ensure smooth ministry operation, particularly during market activities.
