Position Summary:
This enthusiastic person will join a team of passionate individuals to create and implement a strategic outreach program to local universities/colleges and key community agencies. Through education and relationship building, this person promotes awareness of Alternatives’ programs and services. |
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Two-Three years of community focused work.
- Experience in community relations, public speaking and campus life.
- A well-versed understanding of current and emerging social issues on campus related to unintended pregnancy, sexual health and abortion.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or associate degree. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) speaking candidates are a priority.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Campus Relations:
- Develop strategic outreach plan for campus engagement.
- Develops relationships and contacts with college/university campus communities in the Denver-metro area.
- Identify and build relationships with Title IX campus departments, plus other key campus contacts like counseling centers, health centers, financial aid departments, student clubs, and campus-housing.
- Represents Alternatives’ services through tabling, event attendance and resource fairs.
Community Outreach:
- Attend community meetings in the geographical areas near Alternatives’ offices in order to stay current on resources to help Alternatives’ clients.
- Work with client services to vet community organizations and enhance the Community Resource Guide (CRG), including the holiday edition.
- Work with the Communications Associate to update and proof the CRG quarterly.
- Solicit and schedule presentations at local community meetings.
- Connect with all departments of the organization to discuss community contacts in their program area.
- Solicit and host tours at our three locations with new and existing community partners.
Marketing:
- In collaboration with the communications team:
- Create, update, and distribute campus marketing collateral.
- Suggest campus specific social and digital advertisements and campus webpage content.
- Assist with the development of the campus webpage.
