Marketing & Communications Director
Lifeline Christian Mission is searching for a Director, Marketing & Communications (MarCom) who will expand the MarCom team’s knowledge and capacity to serve the organization. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in marketing and communications, creativity to reach new markets, fundraising experience in a non-profit setting, and will embody a collaborative approach to leadership and a passion to serve Christ and His Church.

We’re looking for someone who…
- Puts Christ first and is an active and growing disciple of Him. A strong commitment to represent Christ and uphold high expectations of living out a personal faith of service and action towards others.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or creative/graphic design and/or a degree in Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts/design is preferred. Experience in best practices around email communication, website design, marketing, and social media. A strong understanding of copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing, both with print, digital, and online mediums.
- 2+ years experience implementing fundraising and marketing best practices in a non-profit or missions setting, along with collaboration with a fundraising/development team.
- Is creative, resourceful, and can oversee multiple projects, while having flexibility to pivot quickly and prioritize well in a fast-paced, project-based environment. In all this, a professional attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Has strong leadership skills to lead, coach, and empower team members and to collaborate with other teams.
- Innovates ideas, campaigns, etc. through best practices to reach new markets to grow Lifeline’s community, and strengthens retention of Lifeline’s currently connected community (donors, trip participants, meal packers, etc.).
- Embodies a collaborative approach with Lifeline staff (both domestic and international) and partner organizations to foster ministry connectedness, teamwork and success across the organization.
- Required knowledge and usage of Adobe Creative Suite tools, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong and/or basic knowledge of our frequently used programs: Google Analytics, Google Admin, social media platforms, MailChimp, Google Workspace, knowledge of web design platforms (currently WMTEK/Site Stacker), Microsoft Office Suite, and SmugMug. If any of these are unfamiliar to you, then the ability to quickly learn these is imperative.
How you will make a difference in the ministry / your responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a successful vision, strategy and goals for marketing and communicating Lifeline and ministries. Oversee all marketing and communication efforts such as social media, website, newsletters, email campaigns, donor communications, marketing efforts, and other duties as assigned.
- Lead, coach, and empower the Marketing & Communications team, creating team unity and a healthy culture that aligns with Lifeline’s Core Values and Vision & Mission.
- Develop, create, and oversee the team’s creation of compelling, effective, and well-designed communication tools and resources to tell Lifeline’s story and ministry-specific goals. This includes website, print/visual items, graphics, video, etc.
- Recruit and involve qualified volunteers to serve alongside the team.
- Represent Lifeline at ministry events and at public forums like events and conferences. Raise awareness about the mission and purpose when applicable.
- Form and communicate with a partnership team who will pray for you and your ministry at Lifeline, along with engaging with and contributing to the ministry.
